Warranty Policy

Overview

This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased from Saf O’ Me and is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. It outlines the terms under which you may claim warranty service, including what is covered, how to initiate a claim, and your entitlements under law.

Warranty Period

All Saf O’ Me devices are covered by a 12-month limited warranty, beginning from the delivery date of the product.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Battery performance issues
  • General performance faults not caused by external damage or misuse

What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered under warranty:

  • Accidental or physical damage (e.g. drops, cracks)
  • Extensive water damage
  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modification
  • Malfunction due to SIM/network unavailability (e.g. location tracking failure because of poor SIM coverage)

Proof of Purchase

A valid proof of purchase (such as a tax invoice, receipt, or order confirmation) is required to make a warranty claim.

How to Claim Warranty

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Email info@safome.co
  2. Include a copy of your proof of purchase
  3. Describe the issue in detail (include any relevant photos or videos)

Our support team will assess your request and, if eligible, provide return instructions.

Warranty Assessment and Resolution

Once the item is returned and inspected:

  • If the fault is covered under warranty, a replacement product will be sent at no additional cost.
  • If the fault is not covered, or no fault is found, you will be notified and given available options (which may include return without repair or a paid repair/replacement).

Shipping Costs

Saf O’ Me will cover all return and replacement shipping costs for approved warranty claims.

Warranty Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser listed on the proof of purchase.

Australian Consumer Law Compliance

This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Under ACL:

  • You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major product failure.
  • You are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude your rights under the ACL.
